On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend an invitation to all those who recognize the importance of a large bandwidth telecommunications network for universities and colleges in Quebec. They will have the opportunity to further deepen their knowledge of innovative technologies made available through the combined efforts of the Quebec Minister of Education, Quebec Minister of Sports and Leisure, universities and colleges in Quebec.

RISQ, for the past 20 years, has been working on weaving its fiber-optics network back-bone in order to serve its mission of the promotion of teaching and research for its members. Visionaries, those who believed in the value of such an undertaking can now celebrate their foresight and their success. The network has been strategically deployed throughout the territory and it enables RISQ members to be at the forefront of the elite contributors in the field, which is quite an accomplishment for world that is interconnected in a million and one ways.
