Dr. Galambos has spent twenty nine years in Information Processing as a systems engineer, focusing on high performance, high availability systems and networks, with emphasis on quantitative methods. He performed assignments in management consulting on IS issues, project reviews and risk assessment, evaluation of new opportunities, creating strategic IT plans. Customers included the finance, government, transportation and distribution industries in Canada, Brazil and China. Recently, he co-developed IBM's System Design Method, extended into e-business problems as well as to an approach to identify and reuse common system design patterns. The work on patterns served as a basis for a recently published book. Dr. Galambos is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
